The Bulak collection has many meanings. It is named after the location where our first studio was born: Bulak, Dauin, Negros Oriental, Philippines. Bulak also means "Flower" In our local Visayan dialect. The colors in this series are colors inspired by my homeland, the feeling of how the place felt, of earth tones, deep blue oceans, whisps of sandy colors and volcanic soil. 

A playful nod to my home island in a ceramic piece.
